With nothing else to do I got in the car and headed home. Fortunately my wish to be okay being Ms Jones and having her memories meant I drove to her apartment and not to my, err, Jon's house. I quickly headed insided to wait for Karyn.
Feeling woozy I remembered I'd skipped lunch earlier so I decided while I waited I'd make a sandwich pickles, jam and ice cream. I blinked in surprise at what should have been a disgusting combo, but cravings were a bitch and I bit into it without hesitating. Delicious.
"Mmm," I grinned as I finished my third. I reached to make a fourth when the doorbell rang.
"Coming!" I shouted heading for the door.
"Hey Ms Jones," smiled Karyn "Hope I'm not too early."
"Not at all," I replied stepping aside to let her in. I followed her into the kitchen and took a seat.
As Karyn took her own seat I reached into my purse and pulled out the stone, dropping it on the table. She stared at it in shock, ten up at me.
