With a smile I headed to the door and paused before it. It was my first time actually being this character, so why not make the most of it? I glanced down at my outfit. It was kinda dull and I'd been using it for a while. I wondered how I'd go about changing outfits - did I have to do it like the real world or did I have to access my character's inventory and select other items of clothes from the menus?
As I thought this I felt lightheaded and my body froze. A drop down menu appeared beside me and somehow I could read it. I made a few experimental clicks, selecting things at random and each click resulted in my clothes changing. With a grin, I scanned the menus, making my selections and within seconds I was wearing a black and red corset, a cute skirt and matching striped stockings and arm warmers.
Happy with my choices I clicked the tick and the menu disappeared. With a grin I went back to the door and reached out for it, and stepped out into the hall of my virtual house. Passing the doors of the rooms I used for my other avatars I headed for the front door and exited into the world of Alternate Life.
