Each player started FOG with 100 lin. Because it was a promotion for the first week each player got 5000 bonus lin. That was a whole lot. I practically only had my beige trousers, white linen shirt and a thin black cloak. I really was going to need lots of gear to get my game started. I got scale mail for my armor. This armor consisted of a coat and leggings (and a separate skirt) of leather covered with overlapping pieces of metal, much like the scales of a fish. The suit included gauntlets. That cost me 50 lin. Next was to get some weapons. I went to the blacksmith and purchased a longsword and a shield. The longsword I bought had a circular slice of an orange carrot with a green stem for a blade guard made of steel. I thought it was on the nose, but I still took it because it was cool. Together, the sword and shield cost 25 lin. Next was to get a light crossbow and a pair of cases with 20 bolts each. I wanted to also be able to hit things from a distance if needed. That set me back another 27 lin. After that was a quick trip to a supply shop. If I was going to be traveling, I would need the tools for it.

An explorer's pack cost 10 lin. It had everything that I would need on the road. The set included a backpack, a bedroll, a mess kit, a tinderbox, 10 torches, 10 days of big vegan rations, a waterskin and 50 feet of hempen rope. It was pretty comprehensive. Who knew what the hell was out there? I knew that there was an angry wolfkin that would be on the lookout for me at the very least. Really, I was not supposed to even be in this world in the first place. Suzie was probably still waiting for me in Epic City like she said she would be. At this rate, I was going to miss her. It might not be until next session that I would be able to meet up with her to play the game together. If things got tough out there, I could be prepared to solve problems that might arise. I sighed and continued on. Altogether, everything that I bought cost me 112 lin. The big sprawling market that we were in was very impressive. If it were not for all of the vegan food stalls, I would think this was a city belonging to another race. Rabbitkin were very interesting. I guess I had been underestimating them a little bit. I was now ready to go.

Baxter, Max and Buster were with me the whole time. I was able to equip everything that I had bought right away. It was a bit weighty, but I was used to it. I had played all sorts of similar games to FOG before. They just had the shorts they were wearing and their daggers. I was going to ask them to take me to their homes. I really wanted to know a bit more about them now that I was in this massive underground complex. It was just too interesting to simply get up and leave. However, before I could go for it ask them, I heard a loud gasp and the sound of hurried footsteps. I turned my towards the noise. It was a human. More than that, it was another Player. I was surprised to see that someone else would be here. There were supposed to be tons of worlds already generated into the base game. What were the odds he was also sent here at random? Why would he choose to be this particular world on his own though? And this rabbitkin settlement? He was coming towards me. Baxter, Max and Buster looked on in total confusion. Elves were one thing. Humans were another. They were aggressive.
