"What are you talking about," Timothea interrupted, "Karyn has always had blonde hair, right Kare Bear?
"She hasn't though," Zach countered, "she had short Red hair that for some reason Sarah has now. Also, where the hell is Tim? I get this is some prank, but it's really not funny."
Jon looked like he was about to swear all the water out of his body. His hand were at his side, but anyone could tell by his arms that they were shaking. Everything Jon knew about the stone began to be questioned. Out of everyone that Jon knew from school, it was Zach that remained unaffected by the stone's power? It made no sense. Jon knew the stone was still in his pocket, but he did not want to risk Zach finding out its true nature and using it against him. He and Karyn needed to leave ASAP.
Karyn was too busy having a freak out of her own to budge. She was becoming more aware of an alien voice that made its way inside her head. While she considered making a direct wish at Zach to make him forget, the voice wanted to use the stone as a blunt object to hit him. Zach just needed his memory erased and everything would be good. But this voice wanted Zach to die. Karyn was becoming afraid of what was lurking inside as her head began to ache.
Before anyone could react any further, time had stopped. Similar to how the rock changes reality, everything was still, as people froze in place. Silence could be heard across the room, except from two people. Karyn and Zach somehow remained in motion. Zach noticed this immediately.
"Either this is a really good manequinn challenge," Zach said, "or somehow life just pressed pause."
Karyn grabbed her ears and started to scream. Whatever was inside her was no longer interested in being trapped inside her. Before Zach could ask what was wrong, a green hand began to pull itself out of Karyn's forehead. It was somewhat transparnet, as it was able to accomplish this without piercing through her skin. As the second arm began to push itself out, Zach pulled climbed over the frozen Timothea and backpeddled away from the booth. In an instant, the two arms pushed down on Karyn's head and helped pull out what looked like something from a horror fantasy novel. It looked to be a five foot tall naked humanoid creature completely devoid of hair. It had pointed ears that one would expect from an elf, but its eyes were perfect circles filled that were glowing yellow. It looked to Zach with a wide grin and pointed one of its clawed hands towards him.
"Kill," the imp growled, "you ruined fun. Death time is now."
