Karyn smiled as she and Jon discovered their wish worked when they managed to find a picture of her from the school facebook page. The rock was back in the center.
"And check this out Jon," Karyn said, "She's not even cheer captain anymore. She's the vice captain."
"So who's the head now?" Jon asked.
"It's Shannon. I don't think you've had any classes with her, but she's always been Sarah's number 2. I guess now they've switched. Good think you forgot to specify it lasted a week."
"Oh NO!" Jon slapped himself in the face. I'm such an idiot."
"Hey it's alright," Karyn said, "At least it was Sarah and not one of us again."
"You're right. So, I guess it's your turn then?"
"Yeah, and I know you might not like this idea at first, but hear me out."
"I'm already concerned, but continue."
"It would be really great if I had a best friend that was a girl."
"So you want to create a new person to be your friend?"
"No, I was thinking since we have so many close friends that are guys that maybe... you know for like a few days, they could be a girl?"
"...What?"
Karyn holds her hands up fully away of how weird her request sounds. But that didn't stop her from talking further.
"Everyone we hang out with is great Jon," Karyn said, "but they're all guys. And now that I have this hair and these boobs, they're gonna treat me less like a friend and more like... well another girl. I'm not saying change their personality or anything, but at least give me someone more like me?"
Jon was silent. He stared at the rock for what seemed like an hour before looking back at Karyn.
"And you promise," Jon asked, "that you will specify the time limit and make them similar to what they are now?"
"Yes. It won't be weird Jon, I promise you. And if it does, we can figure something out, right?"
"Okay. I'll let you do it, if only you tell me first who you want to do it to?"
"Tim sound alright? I mean he hangs around me more than you anyway right?"
"That's fine. Just be specific, okay?"
Karyn picked up the rock and took a deep breath. She still had some more wishes on her mind, so she did not want to screw up with this one. After thinking about her words harder than any school assignment, she proceed."
"I wish," Karyn said slowly, "that our friend, Tim Brant, would become a girl only for the next seven days, and would still be our friend, have a similar personality, and still keep similar interests."
The rock glowed bright before shutting off. The wish was granted.
