Jon grinned as he read the trope's title. "Jackpot!" he yelled, then immediately covered his mouth, not wanting to alert his family. Jon could feel the whole world shifting around him. Jon was suddenly overwhelmed with ideas and plans for even the most mundane of tasks. Jon felt his confidence increase, and began to feel like he had an understanding of everyone in his life.
When the shift was complete, Jon looked around his room. Gone were his video games, his posters, even some of his childhood toys. Anything that wasn't immediately useful was completely cleared away. Books from classic writers replaced his video games. The greatest Renaissance paintings in history replaced his movie posters. A mirror adorned the corner of the room. Jon looked in the mirror and couldn't believe what he saw. His normally curly hair had been cut and smoothed backward. His t-shirt was replaced by a college golf shirt. His jeans were cleaner than ever. There was no acne on his face. He lifted his shirt and found abs were flab used to be.
Jon thought to himself, 'I've hit the motherlode. One of the defining tropes of fiction, the standard to which every villain tries to live up to, and I got it with but a single wish. Marvelous.' Jon chuckled to himself and looked down at his rock. What he once viewed as a toy he now saw as a tool. "You and I are going to accomplish great things." Jon smiled. All this power at his fingertips, so many problems to solve. Sure, there was the matter of Karyn's breasts and hair, but there was also the issue of taking Sarah McMillan down a peg. But why stop there? There are so many problems with this town, this country, this world. Jon had only one question; 'Where to start?'
