I left his room, to which Jon said "Have fun", and looked for a mirror. I found one in the bathroom. I was not identical to Jon; in fact I looked somewhat between my old self and Jon. Of course that was to be expected; it was unlikely that Jon's parents would have all the genes that made me look like me. But they probably had some of them. So this was as close as I could get to looking like myself while having Jon's parents.
It also turned out that I did have my own room. It was right next to Jon's. Checking things around it revealed that I was Jon's twin brother but we were not identical, that Jon had both his parents, and that Zoe and Mikey did exist and were probably as I had expected them. Of course this could be one of the zillion of threads where somewrite decide to throw a curveball and Zoe was secretly Sarah's friend or something.
First order of priority was to get the rock. If this was a typical Jon story, he wouldn't take elementary precautions like making other people saym a password before they could use it. But he probably could put the rock under his pillow or just lock the door, and just the fact that I was here might make him more careful.
Dinner proved strange. My parents, Jon, Zoe, Miokey, and myself were all there. We had spaghetti and meatballs. I didn't know how to react when Mom asked how my school day was and had to make up something about a trigonometry lesson. Jon seemed amused at my attempt to get along here, and smirked; nobody noticed it.
"So do you play video games," Jon asked me after dinner.
"How many people don't?" I replied.
"Two players is pretty useful," he said. "Even if I'm playing with a girl brother."
"Stop taunting me," I said. "You're just being mean."
"I'm not going to make you play. I'll have to check if you have a boyfriend you can play with."
"No thanks."
We did, after all, play several rounds of the latest Street Fighter. Jon won about two out of three and he seemed glad to be playing with me. The stone, however, was not on the dresser and probably in his pocket. But I had an idea....
I was sitting at the table at school, eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I had made myself. With me were Karyn and Jon. Jon seemed glad to act as if I was supposed to be there, since he knew that everyone else would remember me.
At one point the subject of the stone came up. Jon took it out of his pocket--a bad habit of his since it could result in wish accidents--but only explained how he had wished to know of other magic that could help fix Karyn's hair and breasts. "Nothing showed up," he explained.
"I think I have an idea," said Karyn. "Let me try it."
Jon handed the stone to Karyn and she said "I wish that I have long blonde hair and big breasts because I have fake long blonde hair and big breasts that can be removed." A flash and Karyn pulled at her hair. It came off, revealing brown curls.
She said "I'll get rid of the boobs when I'm alone."
"Why not just wish them off?" asked Jon.
"Because that would reverse the wish that I have them." She looked at me and nodded. Of course I had suggested it to her.
"Now one other thing." said Karyn. "I wish I knew if you care about Alex as your brother."
"Hey wait!" said Jon.
"Alex texted me yesterday about this. He told me you were acting suspiciously. He helped me figure out how to fix my hair and breasts so I helped him look into his suspicions. And since the answer to that wish was "no", I see that Alex was right. I just hope whatever magic is on you can be fixed with the stone, Jon. I wish...."
