I headed home trying to think of a way to fix Karen's problem and wasn't paying much attention to where I was going. As I headed down an alley I usually took when I wanted time to think on things rather than going home by the quickest route I ran into the last person I wanted to see, Biff Meadows, the school head jock and, unfortunately, my cousin.
"Hey dweeb," he laughed as I bounced off of him and fell flat on my ass.
"Biff," I sighed, "What do you want?"
"Nothing much," he shrugged, grinning, "Just wanted to talk to you in private about gramps and what he left you."
"I don't know what you mean," I replied evasively. I slipped my hand in my pocket and said "I wish you'd gone home instead of lurking here to ambush me." My vision blurred and he was gone and I was on my feet again. With a sigh I continued on.
"You're not getting rid of me that easily," came a laugh from behind me.
I spun around and there was Biff!
"Huh?" I said in confusion.
Biff grinned again, and I felt uncomfortable. With a gulp I said "I wish you couldn't move from that spot until I let you."
I turned to go and heard Biff mumble something. I'd only taken a few steps when a strong hand grabbed me and spun me around.
"How?" I gasped.
He held up a familiar looking object and said "with this."
"You have a wishing stone too?" I asked in shock.
