"Pass the peanuts over here." Bill said, his buddies were over for poker night.
"Sure thing Buxom Bill." Said Ted. Bill and Ted had been friends in high school and still kept in touch. Bill had gone off to college and studied accounting eventually landing himself decent job in his home town Ted had always been a towny. He found a niche selling cars and never looked back.
"How many times do I have to tell you to stop calling me that." Bill said, trying to lower his voice as much as he could. "You know I didn't choose this." Bill sighed, "Besides, you're going to have to work over time with this hand." He said as he flipped his cards over.
"You asshole, full house? You've got to be kidding me. That's got me beat." Said Ted.
"Same with me." said Paul.
"I don't know where the hell you get the luck from Bill. I can't do anything with that. Take your god damn money." Tim looked around the basement. "Now, tell us about this new slice you have on the side."
"My Wife's upstairs Tim! Well you know Jane's been slowing down lately so it's been hard to keep things up to date you know what I'm saying. So I was working late and we've got a bunch of new interns in straight out of school. You should see some of these girls. Well I had one assigned to my department and she was more then willing get to know the boss let me tell you." Bill pulled up a picture on his phone.
"I don't know how you do it." Said Ted. "I can barely keep one woman happy and you've got multiple. Seems like you never did change."
Bill smiled. "You think I was going to let these keep me off my game. it's been thirty years and I'm still as in the game as I was then." He laughed. "Now you assholes can get out of my house. I've got to figure out what to do with my winnings, pay up!"
The other guys chuckled and passed him over his money.
Jon sat in his bedroom watching this encounter. He'd wished to be able to spy on his dad. His dad may have been an asshole before but he'd never been a cheater. Not only that but had been doing it for years. What had Jon done? Very little seemed to have changed, same friends, same attitude just the clothes and the body. Jon wondered how he was going to fix this.
Jon picked up his phone, he had to call Karyn.
