Jon braced himself for another swap, but none came. He stood there for a moment, stunned, and Biff's (originally Sarah's) parents noticed.
"Jon, are you okay?" Susan McMillan asked.
"Uh, yeah. Sure," he said, still in a daze. Why wasn't it working? Up until now, he switched lives with every new person he encountered. But now, nothing was happening. Frankly, he wasn't sure how he felt about that. Before, he wanted this to stop, but if it stopped, how would he get his life back? He wasn't even sure if the wishing stone would even help. Did this mean that he was stuck in the "life" of Biff Meadows forever?
"You look a little pale. Are you sure?" Robert McMillan asked.
Biff latched onto Jon's arm. "Don't worry about Jon. He's just had a stressful day." Biff really had no idea how true that was. "I'll just take him upstairs and help him unwind."
"So does this mean you'll be staying for dinner, Jon?" Susan McMillan asked.
"Thanks, but I already ate," he responded, before being pulled back upstairs by Biff.
