With some trepidation, Baylie took hys place beside Biffanie and Brittanie by the corner, waiting for the school bus. While Bianca sometimes drove the bois to school when they had activities, on this occasion it was a bus trip.
What Baylie didn’t expect to see rumbling down the street—though perhaps hei should have—was that the bus was a garish, bubble gum pink instead of the more familiar yellow. Hys eyes grew wide as it eased to a stop. Of course it’s a pink bus. The door swung open, and Baylie and the others climbed inside.
Baylie expected the interior to pink, but hei didn’t expect his nose to pick up on a light perfumed smell. That’s new.
Hei followed Brittanie and Biffanie down the aisle. The seats were filled with pairs of bois, all equally dolled up in pink and many with blonde hair, although there were a few who weren’t. They were all gossiping away excitedly as the three bois tried to find an empty seat. Brittanie and Biffanie found a row to themselves and sat down next to each other, leaving Baylie to find hys own. Hei had hoped to sit next to Biffanie, but the seat on the other side of the aisle was occupied. There weren’t many seats left; luckily, Baylie spotted an empty seat in the row behind hys brothelles.
Baylie approached the empty seat and looked at the boi occupying the window seat. Like the other bois, hei had golden blonde hair that was styled so that it draped over hys shoulders, and hei wore an equally pink outfit. Hei was busy touching up hys makeup as hei had a small, pink compact mirror in one hand and a tube of lipstick in the other.
“Hi,” Baylie greeted the boi shyly. The boi looked up from hys mirror. “Do you mind if I sit here?”
The boi shook hys head. “Not at all,” hei replied as hei moved hys handbag so that Baylie could sit down.
“Thanks,” Baylie said as hei sat down, remembering to smooth hys dress like Biffanie had taught hym and crossed hys legs. “Cute bag,” hei complimented. “It really matches your dress.” The boi smiled.
“Thanks, I love your dress. Where did you get it?”
“Oh, I borrowed this from Biffanie,” Baylie replied, nodding towards where hys brotherelles were sitting. “I’m, um, hys cousin, Baylie.”
The boi’s eyes widened. “Oh wow! I didn’t know that Biffanie had a cousin. I’m Willow, by the way.” Hei flashed another smile, tucking hys compact back in hys purse. “You’re lucky… Biffanie’s the hottest boi in school, and both hym and Jonatha are cheerleaders. You won’t have to worry about your grade in fashion."
The gears in Baylie’s head were turning. That face looked familiar, but only once hei smiled the second time did hei finally place it. It was Wyatt Cordero, one of the defensive backs from the football team!
Willow finished putting hys makeup back in hys purse and looked up, hei noticed Baylie staring at hym. Hei tilted hys head.
“What is it? Do I have something on my face?” Hei started to reach back into hys purse to check, but Baylie quickly shook hys head, realising that hei was staring.
“Sorry,” hei replied, recovering quickly. Hei blinked a couple of times. “It’s nothing, really.” How could hei explain to this boi that hei knew hym as a football player from another world?
Baylie sat in silence for the rest of the journey as hei listened to Willow gossip away about everything and anything. Gurls, makeup, gurls, fashion, gurls… Baylie just nodded and tried to input as best as hei could.
