Later that night, Jasmine gently padded down to the kitchen in search of something to nibble on. In her earlier excitement at Karyn arriving for the sleepover she'd barely had any of the pizza they ordered and her stomach was rumbly. Even in the dark she noticed how much nicer and cleaner the kitchen was from the old one, it looked like a professional kitchen you might find in a restaurant. Honestly, getting used to living in a mansion might be nearly as big of an adjustment as being a girl, or being another species. However, in her sleepy state the new Djinn girl didn't dwell on these things, and instead made a beeline for the fridge, where the leftover pizza was waiting.

"Feeling a bit peckish, darling?" A voice asked from behind her, making Jasmine jump a little as she turned around. Smiling softly at her was spectacularly beautiful woman, wearing a pale green silk robe over a yellow teddy. Midnight black hair cascaded in gentle waves down to her waist, framing her lovely face. However, her most arresting feature were her big soulful green eyes which were gazing upon Jasmine incredibly fondly.

For Jasmine it was like a supernova exploding in her chest, as love for the woman, who she instantly knew to be Cassandra, blossomed within her. She'd honestly been worried about how she would interact with the woman who would have been a stranger to Jon, but as memories flooded into her that seemed so silly. She remembered girlhood trips to the beach, gentle kisses on her bruises and scrapes, being held between two women whenever she had a childhood nightmare. This was her mother just as much as Lydia and she loved her profoundly. Without thinking she flew forward, pulling Cassandra into a tight hug.

"Whoa there, everything alright little one?" Cassandra asked with concern as her daughter tackled her into a hug. She and her wife had returned from their date night just a half hour ago, and she'd just showered and changed out of her evening dress. Lydia had gone to check to make sure Melia was asleep, while Cass had stepped back downstairs to brew some evening tea for her and her love, only to discover her eldest rummaging in the fridge.

"Just missed you, mama," Jasmine mumbled into her shoulder. She couldn't begin to imagine how lonely her mama must have been in the old reality, considering how close the family was, and she just wanted to hold her tight. It didn't diminish her love for Lydia at all, as both of her mothers were dear to her. It was just a matter of suddenly having memories of two loving parents instead of one. There was no comparison between Cassandra and Roger Gibson as far as Jasmine was concerned; she made their family so much more complete. She'd have to thank Asteria again for bringing them together.

Cassandra chuckled gently, "you saw me this morning, darling, but I'll take the hug. Did you and Karyn have a good sleepover?"

Jasmine giggled, it had been a good sleepover, even if they'd stayed up a bit later than they really should for a school night. After the movie, she had suddenly recalled her love of singing in this world and busted out the karaoke machine. She supposed it was a mixture of her increased confidence as Jasmine and actually having a good singing voice, but she now found herself constantly on the verge of breaking into song. Those memories had also led her to realize she was actually involved in Lakeview's theater department in this reality, something she'd have been far to shy to try doing as Jon. She was actually really looking forward to her first rehearsal after break on Wednesday, especially since it lined up with when Karyn's Gardening club met; as Jon she'd either had to walk home by herself or wait around awkwardly on those days.

"It was great mama!" She answered, still grinning like a fool. Her first night as a Djinn was magical, and she couldn't wait to take her first steps out into her brave new world.
