Karyn and Jennifer were recovering their breath after their last make-out session and just talking about some things when they heard the doors downstairs opening. Both of them looked at the clock. "Damn, guess Zoe returned back home. Hoped to have some more fun..." Jennifer pouted, which in Karyn's opinion looked absolutely adorable. "Well, we can always fool around some more later. Now let's put the stone back into jewelry box. It was really smart of you to wish something like that. Think you could include me into it so I could open it too?" Jennifer shrugged her head "I wished that only I could open it, so I am not sure. Could just wish for another box later and put this one somewhere else. Actually, let's see if I still can open it, I changed a bit..." she said and tried to open and close the box several times "Seems I still can. Good." she put stone into box and closed it, hiding it under her bed.
And not a moment too soon as Jennifer's sister Zoe barged into her room "Oh, I thought I heard two voices. I see you are hanging out with your redhead slut, heh? Probably licked each other to stupidity, huh? Can't believe my own sister is fucking lesbian. Well, I will leave you two losers alone, don't go to my room unless you are calling me for dinner." goth Zoe said to her sister "Freaks..." Zoe muttered after exiting Jennifer's room, just loud enough so Jennifer and Karyn would still heard it.
Karyn looked at her girlfriend in concern, noticing how tears started to gather in corners of her eyes. She embraced Jennifer into hug, letting her cry on her shoulder "Shh, shh, it is alright..." Karyn said soothingly, stroking Jennifer's long hair gently and just comforting her in her loving embrace. Karyn knew for a long time now that while Jennifer loved her family they also drove her crazy. Nothing seemed to change in that aspect from back when Jennifer was Jon. They didn't talk much about Jon's family before the wishes, but when they did talk Jon always had this sad look on his face, especially when she mentioned his sister. Nothing changed, it seemed. Zoe was cruel to Jon and she was still cruel to Jennifer. It seemed that she finally truly hurt Jennifer as the girl was still sobbing quietly on her shoulder.
Now, Karyn partly blamed herself. But only in small part. She didn't regret letting Jon become Jennifer and Jennifer didn't regret it either. It was as if something clicked together in their minds after that wish and now Karyn could honestly say that she loved Jennifer. More than anything else. She also knew that Jennifer returned her feelings. No, she couldn't really blame anything except maybe the stone for granting wish in such way that Zoe hated lesbians for whatever reason. It probably would be good idea for Karyn and Jennifer to get memories of new reality. They knew Jennifer's name because they once jokingly asked her mom what she would have named Jon if he was girl, but appart from that they didn't know too much. That will need to get fixed.
As for Zoe... Zoe was bitch to everyone, from what Karyn knew. Even before the wishes. It was almost as if she was darker version of Sarah McMillan, but where Karyn now knew that Sarah was just acting to fit in, Zoe seemed to enjoy causing others emotional pain. Few times they talked before wishes Zoe seemed to go out of her way to offend Karyn and Jon always apologised for her. Karyn was very tempted to use her new powers to teach little devil a lesson, but she had more important things to do.
Like comforting her sad girlfriend.
Jennifer stopped crying by now, but she still clung to Karyn, seemingly refusing to let go. Karyn continued to gently stroke her hair "It is okay, everything will be fine. Just ignore her. It doesn't matter what she says, you are strong, you know that, right?" she felt Jennifer nod "That's my girl. Now listen, I will call my parents and ask if you can sleep over for tonight. I don't want to leave you alone and you could use a break. Why don't you pack some things and call your mom to let her know that you will stay over at my place, okay?" she said gently and Jennifer again nodded. Karyn smiled softly and kissed her forehead gently "Good girl. I will be right back and we will leave, okay?" Jennifer nodded and leaned in to kiss Karyn softly on the lips "Love you." she whispered and Karyn smiled "Love you too." she said and gently untangled herself from other girl, leaving the room and going downstairs to make a call.
After Karyn left, Jennifer still felt like emotional mess. She couldn't believe that Zoe still was so cruel. She hoped that if she was born a girl like stone made it, that Zoe would have a better example growing up and wouldn't be such a... bitch. But it seemed that stone didn't touch that aspect of her life while granting her wish... Which made her wonder what exactly changed in her life comparing it to her past Jon life. She will need to use stone to find out. For now, she decided to text her mom to ask if she could have sleep-over at Karyn's place, to which her mom responded with a yes and even wrote that is she wanted she could stay there a couple days. Jennifer texted back her thanks and got one of the bags from her closet, packing in some clothes and extra toothbrush and some other necessities. After some thinking she got the jewelry box from under her bed and put it into bag too. No way she was leaving that here, even if no-one else could open it. After closing the bag and putting it over her shoulder she exited her room and went downstairs to meet with Karyn.
It seemed that Karyn was just about to go upstairs as she smiled gently "My parents okayed it. You can stay as long as you like. Ready to go?" Jennifer nodded and both of them exited the house, going towards Karyn's place.
