Jon and Scarlett arrived home at their Los Feliz home, which sat on the top of a hill and overlooked the Pacific Ocean, half an hour later. Jon noticed Chris' shiny black convertible sitting next to the garage, and then he noticed Scarlett's annoyed face. It seems he let himself into their property and their front door was also open.
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Scarlett said with a clearly annoyed tone as she gathered her day's purchases from the back of the Escalade.
"Scarlett, relax. I'll talk to him, find out what he wants, and then he'll go. Okay?" Jon said trying to calm her down. Her look softened as their eyes met, and she drew Jon in to a kiss. Their lips, sliding across each other's lipstick. Their breasts pressing against one another. Jon felt Scarlett's hand on his ass as she squeezed.
"You just remember, you belong to me." She said in her sultry playful voice, as she gave his ass another squeeze. Jon hurried into the house, his heels clicking away against the marble floor of the front hallway. He had gotten used to wearing heels on a daily basis, and he quite enjoyed the feeling of subtle sexuality they gave him.
"Chris." Jon called out, his voice not much more masculine than Scarlett's own, he's realized. "Chris, where are you?" he said again, as he minced his way towards the front study. As soon as Jon reached the doorway, he saw Chris, standing inside the study, his back to the door, as he gazed at the collection of books on the shelves.
"Is that you, Jon?" Chris said, turning with his broad, heart-melting smile. Jon felt his stomach tighten as the feelings of attraction filled his nether regions. He felt his face blush, and he hoped that the makeup he had put on this morning was enough to cover it up. Chris's smile widened as he strode across the room toward Jon.
"Chris " Jon said meekly, fighting off the urge to run into this man's arms and kiss him as passionately as he did the woman just outside. "What are you doing here?"
"Well," he started in a slow and meaningful manner. Chris was playing with a grey stressball of some kind in his right hand as he stepped closer to Jon, reaching up with his left hand to tuck a strand of striking red hair behind his ear. "I needed to see you, Jon."
Jon blushed again as he turned his face away slightly.
"I've missed you, Jon." Chris said, matter-of-factly. "I've been thinking about you and me " he paused, and Jon could feel his heart beat quicken. " I've been thinking about Us, Jon."
"What about US, Chris?" Jon said flatly. "There is no US. You couldn't respect that I Love you AND Scarlett. You couldn't understand that you weren't enough for me. I needed more, Chris, and you wanted to be selfish."
"Jon " Chris said, his voice breaking as if he was fighting back his emotions "I'll do whatever it takes. I can't go on without you, Jon."
"What?" Jon was completely unprepared for this. He had thought that Chris was being self-absorbed and only cared about a physical relationship with a person as pretty as himself. But this was clearly something much deeper than he had even considered they shared.
When Chris dropped to a knee in front of Jon, pulling a small baby blue box from his left pants pocket and holding it up to him, Jon had to grab hold of the nearby chair to keep standing, he was so shocked.
"Jon " Chris said, his eyes glassing over with tears "will you do me the honor of marrying me and becoming my wife?" a thin tear ran down Chris' cheek as he held the box open, and showed Jon the 24 Karat Diamond ring that sat nestled inside.
Jon just stared. First at the ring, then at Chris, then at the ring again. He was completely speechless. To say that this was the last thing that he had expected to happen today would be an understatement. Jon felt his pulse quicken again and tried to steady himself against the chair as the room started to sway.
"What do you say, Jon?" Chris asked, uncomfortably. He grew more worried as he watched Jon's eyes dart from his own, to the ring, and back, all the while, standing, silently, in his designer dress, and heels.
"Wha what am I supposed to say?" Jon finally croaked out.
"Well, I really wish you would say Yes, and marry me " Chris said, awkwardly, his eyes pleading with Jon.
"Yes." Jon said. To everyone's surprise.
"Yes?" Chris repeated.
Chris leapt to his feet, and pulled Jon into a powerful although delicate embrace. His kiss was more passionate than any Jon had ever felt. Chris arms, wrapped around Jon's waist and held him tightly as they continued to kiss, Jon's feet left the floor as Chris spun him around. Jon felt his entire world melt away, as all that mattered in this moment was the man who held him. Mere moments later, Jon's heeled feet came back into contact with the ground, as Chris set him down, and Jon felt a slight tugging on his left hand fingers, and noticed a second later that Chris had slipped the ring onto his finger.
"Chris " Jon started to say, his eyes transfixed on the beautiful stone perched on his slender hand.
"Hold that thought, Princess " Chris said. "There is so much we need to do now." Chris pulled Jon in for another follow-up kiss, and Jon kissed him back. "I'll give you a call later, beautiful." Chris said as he made his way out of the room, pausing to place the grey object he had been holding in his hand on the desk near the door, and a second later he was gone.
Jon stood, unsteadily, alone for a moment, wondering what had just happened to make him agree to marry Chris, as he heard Scarlett enter the house.
"So, he looked pretty happy as he left." Scarlett said cheerily as she walked up the front hall. "What did you say to him to put that giant grin on his face?" she asked.
Jon made his way towards Scarlett, thinking about how he was going to explain all this, when he noticed the object that Chris had set on the desk. The object that Chris had been holding in his hand the entire time. It was the wishing stone.
