Keisha managed to get in a word with one of her three targets.
"Hey!"
"Hey Keisha," Jocelyn replied, though Keisha still did not know her name. "Coming to my volleyball game tonight?"
Keisha was thrown for a loop. Volleyball? Whoa. And she's...friendly?
"Uh, maybe. I might have to spend a lot of time on that math homework."
"I feel you."
"Hey, there's something I want to talk about. Could you come find me at lunch?"
"Sure thing, Keisha. You know where I sit." No, I don't.
"Huh?"
"You know, over by the posters on the far wall." Keisha remembered the football players tended to sit closest to the food lines, so this was a change.
"Alright. Gotta get to class. See ya."
As Keisha headed off for her American history class, she found herself digesting the conversation that had taken place. Jocelyn? Friendly? Say what? This is a new world, alright...
