"Good morning, Gwen," Chardeena greeted hys surrogate dawter cheerfully as hei flitted about the kitchen making breakfast.
"Morning Chardeena," Gwen replied, rubbing her eyes. Shi sat down at the table and waited as Chardeena served hir breakfast.
"All ready for school?" hei asked.
"I guess so… It's quite a lot to take in."
"Nervous?"
"You could say that. Your world is so different to ours that I guess I'm just worried that I might do something embarrassing."
"Oh honey, I'm sure you'll do just fine." Chardeena replied reassuringly. "And even if you do, Sarrah will be there to look out for you." Gwen nodded, although shi wasn't sure about that. Shi had made hir feelings about Gwen pretty clear the other day.
Speaking of, Sarrah joined them a few minutes later wearing a tank top and jeans. Suzan joined them as well, wearing similar clothes to what shi wore yesterday.
"Good morning, honey," Chardeena greeted hir dawter and hei let out a little giggle as Suzan greeted hym with a kiss and a squeeze of hys butt.
Sarrah mumbled a response as shi plonked hirself down at the table. Suzan took a sip of hir coffee and buried hirself in the morning paper.
"Honey," Chardeena began to Sarrah, "I think it would be a good idea if you took Gwen to school this morning. Shi's feeling pretty nervous, and it would be a good chance for you to bond and shi can meet your friends."
"Dad!" Sarrah whined, but after a bit more encouragement from Chardeena, shi agreed. Chardeena smiled and dished out hir breakfast.
"Come on," Sarrah muttered to Gwen once they had finished their breakfast. Shi picked up hir school bag; Gwen did the same and followed Sarrah out onto the driveway, where Sarrah's pride and joy, the blue Mustang with white racing stripes, was waiting for them. The car itself wasn't too unfamiliar to Gwen; after all, Biff had a car in similar style back at home. If shi noticed anything different about the car, it was probably the height. Being designed for a woman, it was a bit smaller than Biff's car, but Gwen had no doubt that it was just as powerful.
"Cool car," Gwen commented as Sarrah unlocked it and got in.
"Thanks."
"Baylie has one just like it back at home," Gwen added as shi sat in the passenger seat.
"Really? A boi has a car with this much marepower? I find that hard to believe. What car do you have?" shi asked, wondering what Gwen drove if Baylie had the Mustang.
Gwen blushed a little. "Um, it's a pink convertible."
Sarrah laughed. "Seriously? That sounds like the sort of car Biffanie might have if hei drove."
"I guess." Gwen shrugged and shrank in hir seat. Shi was beginning to regret saying anything about the car. Sarrah turned on the engine and started roaring down the block. A heavy rock song started blaring out of the radio. As they drove towards the school Gwen was amazed at how, normal everything looked. The way to school was exactly the same that shi took with Biff every morning, the only difference was the people on the street. Bois in dresses and women in t-shirts and jeans, if it wasn’t for that massive difference you wouldn’t have been able to tell that shi was in a parallel universe.
Of course, the biggest difference for Gwen was when they actually arrived at the school. Instead of the one, big building that shi was used to, there were two. Sarrah turned into the parking lot for the gurls’ school and pulled into an empty space. Shi killed the engine and hopped out of the car without really waiting for Gwen. Once Gwen was out of the car Sarrah locked it and Gwen had to quickly jog over to catch up with Sarrah. Shi looked around the parking lot, it was similar to hirs where there were all the teacher’s cars and then scattered around were several cars that looked like they belonged to some of the students.
Joining Sarrah on the sidewalk they walked up to the entrance of the school where several groups of gurls were just hanging out waiting for the day to begin. Gwen followed Sarrah as shi approached one of these groups.
“Hey gals!” shi greeted them enthusiastically. Shi gave several of them high fives while nodding at a couple of others. Gwen was shocked, shi knew these gurls! Shi stared at them for a couple of minutes as they eyed hir curiously.
“Hey, Sarrah… Who’s this?” Gwen recognised the gurl speaking as Tiffany Sanders, although shi looked completely different without hir slutty makeup and hir equally slutty clothing. Looking at hir, Gwen thought that, with what shi had on, shi actually looked a lot like Steve Farber. I guess that means that Tiffany’s a stud now rather than a slut, Gwen thought.
“Oh, right,” Sarrah replied, sounding almost as if shi had forgotten about Gwen. “This is Gwen… Shi’s, uh, my cousin from out of town. Shi’s going to be staying with us for a while.”
“Didn’t know that you had a cousin, Sarrah.” Another gurl, who Gwen recognized as Amber Levine from hir voice, piped up.
“Yeah,” Sarrah replied, pausing as shi tried to think of an excuse. “Shi’s a distant cousin… We don’t talk that much.” Shi explained. Gwen smiled weakly at hir gender-swapped friends, feeling slightly out of place as shi shuffled hir feet a bit.
Tiffany looked at Gwen, a slightly puzzled look on hir face. Shi was thinking.
“Say, Sarrah?” shi started. “Didn’t you say on Saturday that Biffanie had a cousin who was visiting as well? I remember seeing hym in the stands.”
“Um, sure, I guess.” Sarrah shared a look with Gwen.
“I remember thinking at the time that hei looked a lot like Biffanie, just muscular. And now that I think about it, Gwen kind of looks a lot like you. What’s up with that? Is your mom doing some kind of secret cloning experiment?”
Sarrah laughed nervously, looking at Gwen for some help.
Gwen fumbled for a minute before responding. “Heh, no. That’s Baylie. Hei’s my…brotherelle,” shi stammered. Tiffany eyed hir curiously for a moment and Gwen swallowed hard but eventually Tiffany seemed to accept that excuse.
“Alright then, I guess it’s just a coincidence that you and…Baylie, was it?, look very similar to Biffanie and Sarrah.” Gwen nodded. Tiffany was prevented from asking any more questions about Gwen by the sound of the bell for first class going off. The gang separated and headed off to their respective lockers to pick up their books. Gwen had been assigned a locker near Sarrah. It wasn’t right next to hir but it was in the same corridor.
“What’s your first class?” Sarrah grunted as they walked through the halls.
“Hirstory,” Gwen replied. Shi looked at Sarrah, puzzled. “Is yours different then? I thought that they’d put us in the same class.”
Sarrah shook hir head. “Math,” shi replied bluntly.
“Huh,” Gwen mumbled. “Baylie told me that hei had been put in all of Biffanie’s classes.”
“That’s because bois share everything. They’re too dumb to work things out on their own so they share classes and lockers. Heck, Biffanie told me that they even share lockers.”
“Yeah, Baylie told me about that. You know, in our world, girls and boys are able to work things out on their own. Girls aren’t as stupid as bois appear to be.”
Sarrah sighed and shook hir head. “Do me a favor and don’t mention any of that ‘our world’ shit around school. People will freak out about you enough as it is.”
“Right,” Gwen nodded gloomily. They reached their lockers and grabbed the stuff that they needed for class and then dashed off before they were too late.
