"Its almost like the stone gave you its own side effect." Karyn said through her giggling.
My twin and I looked at each other, not feeling particularly cheery with our friend. My wish did not just duplicate my head; it must have split it in half. As such, my body was also split in half like conjoined twins.
"Well, I guess that answers your question." The other Jon said.
I smiled in response. "Yeah, we both control it-er... half of it. Its gonna take some getting used to."
The other Jon nodded, and he exchanged a look with me that I could easily read as, 'lets get off the floor now so Karyn can stop laughing at us.' We placed our hands by either side of our heads and lifted our torso. We brought our weight back so that we were now on all fours, like a dog.
He leaned further back and straightened our spine so we were kneeling. I reached out and held the table beside us with my elbow. We then carefully lifted ourselves back to our feet. The hole thing was a very unsteady process. Thankfully we hadn't embarrassed ourselves in front of Karyn again.
I still had the stone in my hand. I was half tempted to wish something on Karyn, who was just now recovering from her laughing fit. "Here Karyn. Your turn to make a wish on yourself." I reached my open hand out with stone in my palm.
"Do something at least as unusual as my-er our wish was." The other Jon exchanged another look with me. I thought to myself that I could spend a week like this, provided Karyn did not wish for a terrible side effect when it was her turn.
"Okay, okay." Karyn grinned. She chuckled one last time before taking a deep breathe. "Okay, lets see." Karyn grabbed the stone and ran it through her feelings. "So a body change as unusual as yours was. I wish I... had two additional arms."
I blinked, and Karyn suddenly had four arms. Another set appeared right underneath her originals. They must of grown from her body, because two holes had appeared where the arms ripped through the fabric of her shirt. Karyn was waving all four of her arms around; it looked like she was some kind of spider. I opened my mouth to say something, but my twin beat me to it.
"Alright, our turn." The other Jon said. He held out his hand in front of us. "We get to make a side effect for your wish."
