Jon began thinking about ways he could manage to give his mother the literary discussions she deserved.
Option one would be wishing for a book club to exist. The downside to that would be that Jon or other loved ones could be altered in order to be a part of said club. Plus there was no guarantee that his mother would be a part of the newly formed book club, which would likely make his mother even more depressed.
Option two would be to wish his mother's friends would become more interested in books. However, that may cause changes to happen changed mother's kids, and Karyn would be one of them.
Option three would be to locate different people from around town and change them to become interested in joining a book club hosted by his mother. That would take some time, but Jon knew a few people who deserved to be changed into a book lover. Of course Jon knew that who he changed would not only change the family dynamic the target is a part of, but could also affect people he would rather not be changed by alterations in reality.
