Kylo asked for criticism. Didn't say a specific kind of criticism. Didn't specify which aspect of the story was fair game for criticism. And wanted to solve the mystery of why he was being hit with 1s. And so everything I wrote was relevant. I explained on my difficulties in reading the stories he wrote first of all. Extreme lack of ease of reading is a significant factor to the enjoyability of reading a story. Are you saying it's irrelevant that it requires a massive mental workout in order to even understand its context because it's incredibly specialized and doesn't stand on its own? And then, for the second issue, the mystery of "why are you hitting my story with 1s", I give my honest belief, that it was NOT valid criticism (I can tell instantly that his work definitely deserves more than a 1 - I may not be qualified to easily judge what it actually deserves, but it clearly deserves more than a 1) and therefore nothing he needs to change in order to address, because it ISN'T from someone who rated it a 1 because they "didn't like" it, because look at what they're doing to me. And that's also relevant to his question. It tells him there's NOTHING clearly wrong with his writing, but it's the product of petty jerkwads who have no points to their existence but to be eternally triggered and rate things as low as possible based on their own reasons independent with respect to the quality of the writing itself. Because they hate the person who wrote it. And that's my honest answer to his question and it's all relevant to the information he was asking for. I'm arbitrarily assuming Kylo is a he, it's just easier to type he than he or she a dozen times, no disrespect if that's not the case.
Hypocrite much? I'm not a petty, snobby hater for being pissed off at a bunch of petty, snobby haters who pile on my stories and hit them with 1's without reading them. And NO, it doesn't make me haughty and arrogant to say my stuff doesn't deserve a 1! It makes me think you're probably the, or one of the, 1-attackers yourself, to think so low of me, to think my opinion of myself should be that I should expect my stuff to all be rated 1 and that I'm arrogant to think otherwise. It's not a statement of me being better than you to say that I deserve some basic respect. And I may respond by being IMPOLITE about being ATTACKED, but then you complain with 20 exclamation points about how dare I be IMPOLITE... over being the focus of a smear campaign. This isn't about not liking my stories. If I was writing impossible to read crap stories with bad grammar, it would earn a 1, because people would not like my stories, and with good reason. But that's not why they're getting downrated. It's because of a vendetta, against me. Not one I have. One others have. Namely the 3 who rated your forum post a 10, assuming they're actually 3 distinct people and not multiple accounts. All I've done is say I'm sick of this vendetta against me. I wonder how you would like it if I generated 4 accounts and rated everything you wrote a 1, sonnyjimjr3. Would you just sit there and say "darn, people just don't LIKE my writing, because that's the only possible explanation for why it's getting downvoted, I guess I need to improve my writing in the future." Or would you have a reaction like mine? It's not about your "rating system" and how people "like my writing". The thing I just submitted literally went from no rating, to 1, to 5.5, to 7.0, to 5.5, and now it's 4.86, which is clearly the average of 4 1's and 3 10's. Every single one was a 10 or a 1. THAT IS NOT AN HONEST RATING DISTRIBUTION. It does not address the quality of the writing. I'm not saying it deserves a 10, I'm not saying it's the greatest on Earth, I'm saying it's not a 1, and you're responding with 20 exclamation points to tell me to shut up when I point that out.
But I guess it goes well with this being a fetish site what with all this massive mental masturbation going on, you stroking your own egos.
