Terry's eyes opened, lazily blinking at the dim light that filled the small wooden room. "Where...?" Terry was immediately struck by the high-pitched voice, and at once remembered. I was trying out that FOG game... and chose a female avatar!
Gulping, almost afraid, Terry looked down and laughed with delight. She had breasts! She was wearing exactly what she had picked out, and, stumbling in the unfamiliar skirt, hurried over to a nearby dresser to examine herself in the mirror. She looked entirely like one of those girls she had always admired in the real world.
After sating her curiosity regarding her appearance, she took a look around the room. It was a very simple, Spartan, little bedroom. The dresser stood beside a small uncomfortable-looking bed with a mattress stuffed with straw and only a thin blanket to keep her warm. I hope that's just for show... Besides the two pieces of furniture, there was nothing but a door.
She searched the dresser, finding a bag and a diary. No writing tools, however. Inside the bag were several copper coins, each set with an image of a god. "In the gods we trust," she read with faint humor.
Well, it looked like the only thing to do was to walk outside and see more of this world. Gathering up the coins, she stepped over to the door, took a deep breath, and pushed it open...
