Jon walked in his front door and instantly heard his parents fighting. It was one of their old classic fights, they were fighting about each others' friends. They had both grown up in this town, and had both had the same best friend since childhood. Jon's dad's best friend was Art Miller, an overweight, balding, cigar smoking, beer chugging, sports fan. Jon's mom believed Art was nothing but trouble, and would chew Jon's dad out for hours when he came home drunk from the bar. Jon's mom's best friend was Susan Lane, the biggest town gossip, who was once one of the prettiest girls in town, but now at age 40, was trying desperately to turn back the clock. She still tried her best to keep up with the latest fashions though, and tried to get Jon's mom to join in. Jon's dad would fly into a rage when he found out his wife had spent half his paycheck on a new dress.
Jon was tired of hearing this for the hundredth time, so he thought of a wish... "I wish mom and dad would switch best friends, and that's the way it's always been." There was a flash, and Jon looked away. His memories changed, although he obviously wasn't around for his parents' whole lives, he had heard all the stories, and now those stories were different. One particular story stuck in his mind, he remembered his parents' wedding story, how Art had taken his dad out for an impromptu bachelor party the night before the wedding, even hiring a stripper named "Candy" (Jon always remembered the name) and he ended up almost missing the ceremony, while his mom cried on her maid of honor Susan's shoulder, thinking she had been left at the altar... But now, it was drastically different... Now Art had taken his MOM out for a bachelor(ette?) party, even still hiring the same stripper, and Jon's dad had been left crying on HIS maid of honor (best woman?) Susan's shoulder.
Jon blinked, his parents were still fighting. He walked into the kitchen where they were and was shocked at what he saw...
