Class went by quick and was relatively uneventful for Jon
Jon walked into the lunchroom and noticed a few extra eyes in his direction he continued forward to his normal table that he and Karyn sat at past the goths and the nerds but just before the Jocks and the Cheerleaders....thankfully.
As he past by a table he noticed his friend Jay Duncan busy at a table talking with a few of his other friend's it was a surprise considering most lunches he and his friends spent their time in a spare classroom playing their RPG games in peace so as to not get bullied by the popular people but here he was up in the Lunchroom playing some game. Good on them, showing courage in the face of potential danger. Jon gave him a smile and a half salute half wave that consisted on his fingers being parted in the middle. Jay Duncan then gave an acknowledging nod. Jon moved one, next was the goth's hopefully this was going to be an uneventful passing but he doubted it..
As he was approaching the goth table Biff and his Mates were coming the other way. Shit. Jon was not big on swears but this was definitely a swearing moment.
Jon was rifling through his pocket preparing his lunch money.
"Hey Jon, can't stop little busy at the moment I'll catch up with you later at practice, see ya dude"
Jon....Practice...Dude....WTF
Jon turned around and watched Biff make his to the nerds table. Uh oh hope it was fun while it lasted, Biff had a small chat with Jay and then shook his hand and walked of again...
Jon shook it from his mind as some sort of misunderstanding and continued on, he glanced towards the goth table, Oh no why did he have to do that now he has caught her eye....well this is it, welcome to Insult-land. Cassie Brennan caught Jon's eye and gave him a wink and blew him a kiss. Zoe and her friends were there, they just looked at Jon then away again, one of them even smiled.
Out of Jon's earshot Cassie asked Zoe if the recent rumor about Jon was true.
Not a grunt, not a swear not even a sigh. This...was strange to say the least and what was up with Cassie she blew him a kiss?, Cassie was the root of Jon's problem's with the goth's, she had a slight crush on him when they were younger and she was plain and Jon had no confidence when he was 11 and ended up embarrassing her which fueled her hatred towards him, he was not proud of what he was like and regretted it ever since. Which was why Jon was so confused.
He had reached his table on autopilot still thinking about Cassie, sitting down in his normal seat he reached for his lunch and found that the table was occupied by a girl and a boy. Who were not Jon and Karyn........Obviously...
