Jon laughed under his breath as he walked out of the kitchen. He had been such a dope. All this worrying about his tights and he completely overlooked the girls shorts. The simple matter was that Jon liked the way his legs looked in the tights and wanted to be able to see as much of them as possible. So that left him with needing some short shorts or a skirt.
He had, at one time, tried skirts (and other pieces of feminine clothing) to go with his tights. They sort of solved the problem of The Bulge, but at the same time, never quite satisfied Jon. So that left shorts, and girl shorts were just cut shorter than boys. It wasn't like he got any that were super girly, with bows and what not. They were just black track shorts with white piping down the side. He was actually a bit surprised his mom even realized they were girl shorts.
Come to think of it, Jon was a bit surprised by her reaction in general. Wasn't grounding a little much for wearing shorts he had bought with his own money? What would she have thought about the tights without the wish? Perhaps it was a very good thing he used the stone the way he did.
He thought about going to make a new wish, but decided not to for the moment. He felt like he dodged a bullet with the tights wish, being that he stayed a boy and all. Jon turned the corner into the living room and saw Zoe sitting on the couch, watching "Warehouse 13," a show both of them liked.
It was just about the only thing they had in common. Well, that, and Zoe also liked to wear tights. She currently had her own legs wrapped in black nylon.
Jon decided that he would test Zoe's reaction to him before doing something about the shorts. Maybe Mom was a bit of a fluke. Then again, Zoe had never been known to be kind with her words before.
So Jon strolled into the living room in his apple red tights and took a seat near Zoe, and waited for her to say something.
