Mr. Love squatted down in front of Jen.
"Jen, if that is your name," he hesitated. "You will tell me the truth. If I find out you are lying, I will hurt you. If you think I am lying, I no longer think of you as human, as no human would do what you've done. Believe me when I say, I will hurt you. Do you understand?"
Jen nodded, her eyes never left his.
"Were you responsible for Mr. Edward's change earlier today?"
Jen nodded.
"Can we be changed back?"
Jen nodded. There were several relieved sighs throughout the room.
"Do you have to speak in order for us to change back?"
Jen nodded.
"But I can't just let you speak. There is no telling what you will do to us next."
"What are we going to do, Mr. Love?" Sarah practically screeched. "I can't stay like...this!"
"Don't worry, Sarah, we'll figure this out."
"Mr. Love, I think I know a way to fix this." It was Karyn. Jen's eyes met hers. What is she thinking? Then Jen's eyes widened in fear. The stone!
"I'm sorry, Jon, you went too far."
"Jon?" said Sarah. "This...bitch," she spat the word, "is Jon?!"
Mr. Love turned back to face Jen, even more hatred in his eyes. For once, Jen showed all the fear she was feeling.
"Jon?" he said. "This just makes it worse. Karyn, what is your solution?"
"Jon has something that gave him these powers. He showed it to me. I know where he hid it. I can go get it and use it to change all of us back."
"And this...thing, you've used it before?"
"Yes."
"Okay, Karyn, bring Luke with you. He's one of the only ones in here that can pass easily, even in his new form."
Karyn hesitated, "okay."
"Hold on!" shouted Sarah. "These two dweebs are best friends! How do we know she's not just going to free him and leave us like this?"
"Because he's tormented me all day!" Karyn cried. "He made you fuck me, Sarah. That's not something I'm just about to forgive."
Jen looked on, hurt. She never meant to hurt Karyn, just have some fun with her. She thought Karyn was having fun too.
"Okay, Karyn. Go. School will be ending in less than 5 minutes. Everyone else, I ask that you stay in here."
Karyn and Luke left. The rest of the class stared at Jen. She tried to shift, the wires and clothes uncomfortably tight on her.
"Do we have to look at her...him...it?" asked Rob, scorn in his voice. "Can we put Jon somewhere?"
"There is a room that connects my classroom to Mr. Edward's. We will put him in there."
