Jon poked his head out from the janitor's closet. The coast was clear. Mostly. Steve Farber was extorting the lunch money from some freshmen. Jon had been in those shoes a time or two, so he had no problem hurrying the witnesses along.
"The coast is clear, Karyn." said Jon, opening the door all the way. She peeked around the door cautiously. Jon had paused a bit and mumbled and with the current situation, she didn't want anything nasty to surprise her. There was no one they knew, just some freshmen couple. The boy had a confused look on his face. The girl grabbed him by the hand and pulled him towards the cafiteria. As the two ducked around the corridor, they were truely alone, just a pair of girls coming out of the closet. :p
"Jon, do you know who those two were?"
Jon paused for a second. "I don't know the boy, but I think the girl is named Stephanie. "

Jon and Karyn turned into the main corridor. As busy as it was during lunch, there was no way to ignore the large mirror being carried towards the auditorium by the janitor and Mr. Kerning, the drama teach.
"Funny," said Karyn. "You'd think we'd have heard if someone had broken the costume mirror. Why do you think they're getting a new one?"
Jon didn't answer. He was distracted by his need to take one of his dainty feminine hands and smack himself soundly in the forhead.
"I'm such an idiot!" Jon exclaimed in his soprano voice. A few students turned to look at him. The males taking a longer, more appreciativ look. Jon blushed and turned to Karyn. Karyn looked puzzled.
"What's up, J- Joan?" Karyn had noticed the stares, feeling a small twinge of jealosy as they turned away from her. Calling this girl Jon might make a few people wonder where Karyn's best friend was and who was with her now. It's much easier to keep people from putting two and two together if you convince them that the numbers are really a four and a seven.
"I can't belive I didn't think of it. I've used it twice! Karyn, give me the stone."
"But Jon, I don't have the-" She stopped as her hand ducked into her pocket and produced the wishing rock.
"Okay." said Karyn. "How did I do that?"
"Commands don't have to follow reality, just like if the stone was involved. I made that mirror appear when I... changed before PE. And I used the same trick to have Carol give me clthes to change into. If I hadn't been so worried about changing back, I would have thought of it sooner."
"Don't worry about it, Jon. You have the rock. Get your name, change back, and lets go. We have World History next and Mr. Grendle won't cut us any slack."
"You're right, Karyn. " Jon looked down at the wishing stone in her... his... hand.
