I didn't know what to think about Karyn's punishment. It was actually lighter than I thought; she even gave me back the ability to control other people, besides to Karyn and myself. All I would have to do would be to act like a new transfer student for a week. However, the scariest part was that I would have to do whatever Karyn says. I hoped she wouldn't go too crazy with that wish.'
Karyn left the rock at her house, wishing that no one could touch it except for her. Then after a quick command to teleport, we were back at the school. We heard a bell ring. "Perfect timing," Karyn said, "Have fun in your next class." I guess I would have fun, since I had to do what she said.
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of the classroom while the history teacher spoke. "Class," Mrs. Mire said, "we have a new transfer student today. Please introduce yourself." Mrs. Mire was an older lady, maybe in her late 50's; she had mentioned before that she wanted to retire soon.'
"My name is Jane. I just moved here yesterday. I hope we get along well." I blushed quite a bit. Unlike my P.E. class, I actually had a few good friends here. I was afraid someone would recognize me. I convinced myself that the reason they were staring at me so intently was because I was new and very pretty, which was probably the truth.
"That's fine," Mrs. Mire said, "You can sit in the empty seat on the third row; it's Jon's seat, but he won't be here for the next week." I took my seat and the teacher started her lecture.'
The guy sitting next to me leaned over to me and spoke in a nervous whisper, "M-my name is Jeff. It's nice to meet you. Um, if you have any question, um, you can ask me." Of course I knew him; we had been friends for a few years. It must have taken a lot of courage to talk with me, since he's always been extremely shy.
I smiled brightly and said, "Nice to meet you, too. Thanks, I'll ask if I don't understand something. I'm sure we'll be good friends." I could tell I just made his day by the way he couldn't stop smiling. For some reason, I couldn't stop smiling as well.'
As the class started to move on, I started to get bored, which was contrary to what Karyn told me to do. I guess it was time to liven up the class.
