"That's it. That's how to fix it," Jamie said, all of it becoming clear.
"Fix it? Fix what?" the girl asked, confused.
Jamie spun around and watched as the former overly-admired girl showed herself off to passing cars. "I wish that girl was never a bitch," she said, pointing at her. She figured that if her personality were different, maybe she would never have become a hooker. She might have still dropped out of school, like that other girl said, but her life wouldn't be this bad.
"What are you talking about?" the girl behind her asked.
The stone in Jamie's hand glowed, as her wish was granted.
