Jon's perspective:
That night was hell. I lay awake in turmoil, wondering how I could balance my desires for using the stone for personal gain, and the responsibility that came with this new awesome power. If I was less mature, I could easily shrug off the weight of my decision and just have fun with this amazing gift but I wasn't that lucky. It was probably why Grandpa had entrusted me with the Stone and not any of my siblings or cousins. After hours of lying awake, staring at the ceiling, waiting for sleep to take me, my phone buzzed and lit up the room. Karen texted me about her inability to sleep with after such an exciting day, and she proposed we meet earlier in the morning to discuss the stone. I texted back that I could meet her at the park before school, and that I'd see her then. Just before I drifted off to sleep, I wondered if including Karen in on my magical inheritance was a wise decision. Too late now I guess
