That evening, Jon sat on his bed staring at the box that held the answer to all his problems. A Magic Stone! He could hardly believe it. Literally anything he wanted he could have in an instant as long as he was careful. Jon chuckled thinking about Karyn's earlier mistake, and how she would have to deal with a much fuller figure from now on. But she had gotten off lightly. Some lower back pain was a small price to pay to discover how dangerous the rock really was. And she did look really good as a blonde.
Jon decided he'd have to take some precautions to make sure he didn't suffer the same fate- accidentally making a wish that could alter his life forever. He cautiously picked up the rock and said,
"I wish that all the wishes made with this stone would only last one week, until this time (8:47 pm) next Thursday, and when that time comes, anything and everything effected by magic will revert back to how it was before the magical change made during the week."
The rock gave off a bright flash, and warmed significantly more than it had before. Jon released a sigh of relief and let his tension fade. This way, even if something terrible happened while testing out magic, it wouldn't be permanent. Of course, if something wonderful happened it wouldn't last either, but Jon could always make the wish again afterwards.
"I also wish that I would be aware of all wishes made on the rock, whether I heard them or not, and would always remember this reality I am currently in, no matter any changes made to my mind by magic."
That should provide enough protection incase someone else tried to abuse the rocks power.
Now, Jon thought to himself, lets have some fun with this. What should I wish for?
