Being a girl wasn't really bad at all. There were the obvious differences, but in a way it was better than being a guy. There was something, though, that didn't make sense. I used my new powers to find out.
That's how I found out. I was a vampire! Not your the dumb vampires you see in books or movies. Realistic vampires.
My parents had me just like any other child of an animal. Vampires could be made by the way suggested in mythology, but it was much harder and more dangerous. We had a venom in our canines that paralyzes the prey, but left long enough and their DND will mutate. We weren't all that much paler than normal humans, especially since that would be detrimental to hunting them. We were usually a lot smarter than humans, considering anything below about 115IQ to be retarded. We were faster and stronger, just like the myths, able to run across water, throw elephants, things like that. Vampires are also on the average more attractive than humans, another way a securing prey. We don't feed exclusively on humans blood, we also need meat, and animals, particularly predators, can act as a substitute. We also weren't the only myth alive.
All of the were creatures you could imagine and the anthro forms of spider, snake, cat, horse and bird were all part of our underground community. The were's could transform at will in to a intelligent form of their animal, non of the nonsense about the full moon. Anthro forms, well, snakes and cats can not show themselves, centaurs and driders ( the proper name for a spider anthro) can fit into specially enlarged wheelchairs. The people with wings can fold theirs tight against there backs. Just then I heard a voice, like my fathers only younger, calling me to dinner. I walked out of my room and into my new life.
