The room Karyn had entered was empty except for a table and two chairs. Karyn chose one of the chairs and sat down. She wasn't too disappointed; sure she had just been told that she was going to spend her entire career as an actor instead of an actress, but she didn't mind that. A part of Karyn had always wanted to be an actress but she never had the courage to sign up for any plays at school, this career placement thing would help her get started on the right path. Karyn thought about Jon; she felt sorry for him that he got an actress but at least they would get to work together, besides at least he didn't get Biff's job.
Karyn was stirred out of her thoughts by the door opening and in stepped her mentor. "Hi, my name's Thomas Wheeler, but you can just call me Thomas or Tom. You must be Karyn." He extended his hand out to her, Karyn noticing the actor's British accent replied "Yes I am, wow I like your accent." "Thanks" Tom replied. Tom was a handsome man (Karyn thought); he was wearing a black shirt that was underneath a grey blazer and he was wearing blue denim jeans, he was also wearing black and white trainers. The only accessories that he wore were his sunglasses that he took off when entering the room and a black wrist watch. "I'm very glad to meet you," Tom opened "I was a little surprised when they told me that you were a girl but I guess the folks at the program know what they're doing right?" He asked. "Sure, I guess" Karyn replied "Besides; you wouldn't have signed up for this course if you didn't think that they would do a good job would you?" She asked "well when you put it that way." Karyn reasoned
"You're lucky you know?" Tom stated while picking up the clipboard which had Karyn's details on it. "I've just finished shooting a big movie, have you heard of The American Spy?" Karyn nodded "Oh yeah, I can't wait to see that film." She stated "So you're an action movie fan then?" Tom asked; Karyn nodded, she loved action movies almost as much as Jon did. "That's great" Tom said "I'm sure that we will get on just fine then, as an actor you will get start in lots of movies like that. As I was saying, I've just finished shooting so I am free for the next month or so to help you with your program. Let's get started shall we?"
