Brittney-Lynne told him about people like this, but he never thought it would be Karyn.

Here she was, standing in front of him, ranting and raving about his career placement, how he wasn't acting like himself, how he had changed. Of all people, he never thought Karyn as one to be jealous. The way she laid into him, her word choice, it was written all over her face. Pointing out his clothes was a dead-giveaway. Brittney-Lynne told him people would do that. "They're just hopelessly in love with you," is what she'd say. "They're jealous of you because they want to be you," went the reply. He'd heard it a million times, and had expected grief from Steve Farber and the rest of the guys at school for the way his toned hot body was getting, but never ever did he think jealousy would come from a girl, much less Karyn. Was she gay or something?

He waited for her to finally cool down before speaking, but thankfully Brittney-Lynne stepped in. Karyn's speech put his emotions on a roller-coaster ride - but Brittney-Lynne would put it all in perspective for him like she always did. He was glad she took control.

"What do you think you're doing, yelling at us like that? You call yourself a friend?"

Yeah, what was she doing that for? Friends didn't do those things.

"Jon's not the kind of person you can push around. We stick together."

He and Brittney-Lynne were friends. Karyn couldn't push them around.

"He making an effort to become a better person. One who's finally got some direction in life..."

She was right again - the methods were unorthodox, but being with Brittney-Lynne was giving him a goal to get up in the morning for.

" one who finally cares about what she looks like, wants to flaunt what she's got, wants to be the center of attention."

Yeah, all of those things. Wait, what? He could've swore he heard Brittney-Lynne make the same mistake she did at the tanning salon. "She." And flaunt it? The calming warmth he usually felt when listening to his Coach speak slowly subsided. Jon didn't follow. But didn't he want to? As much as he hated to admit it, hearing Brittney-Lynne say that he wanted to flaunt it made him think about flaunting it. His legs, his midriff, his chest, on display. For everyone to appreciate. The warmth came back, stronger than before. It was like Brittney-Lynne was putting ideas in his head, just by suggesting things.

" an ultra-athletic, ultra-peppy, ultra-sexy, life-long professional cheerleader, which is the greatest thing in the world! Maybe you'd be less of a big dumpy Debbie Downer with your life if you visited the career center, too."

Karyn face shone a pale white. In her corner of the world, Karyn wasn't used to people standing up to her like that. After that intense exchange, there wasn't any question who was the alpha-female -- Brittney-Lynne's vitriol had really shut her down. Jon didn't even have a chance to say goodbye before the silhouette of Karyn's sweatshirt-clad torso slumped away into the night.

"I really gave it to that dumb whore didn't I?" Brittney-Lynne said with a smirk.
"Psh. she deserved it for all that grief she gave us - besides, there's only room for one whore in this relationship, and that's you, you fuckin' dirty skank." She playfully batted her eyelashes and gave him a shove.

"At least I'm not a bitch, bitch. Is it that time of the month already?" Jon smiled back.

"Whatever, junk-in-the-trunk." Brittney-Lynne turned around and threw her hair in the air as she got back into the car. "See ya tomorrow for practice after school...kay...love ya's ."

Something strange was going on. Something very strange. He needed to get Karyn alone to talk soon.

As Brittney-Lynne sped off into the night, Jon's hands absent-mindedly touched his rear-end through the thin black tights. He positioned his legs, looked backward, and sighed.

Did he really have that much junk in his trunk?
