The needles suddenly stopped, but for a few seconds more I had my eyes closed afraid what I might see in the mirror...
Finally, I decided to just bite the bullet and see how far the changes had gone. I slowly opened my eyes, and gasped at what I saw. My face was now dotted with more than three freckles, and I could see that there were also some down my neck, and I could assume from the prickling sensation, all along my body.
My face had softened more, as well. While before, it had looked like a softer version of my male face, it had obviously slipped over the line of androgyny toward feminine. I now bore a stronger resemblance to my mom and sister than my dad and brother.
I also noticed that my hair had finished it's transition from the brown I was born with to the red that the center had decided to give me, and it also appeared to be longer. I had never kept my hair too short, but it was definitely longer than it had been this morning.
I was about to turn from the mirror when I noticed one more change. "My eyes are green..." I said.
Lindsay looked into my eyes and nodded. "I take it that's another change?"
"They were brown this morning." I said, taking my attention away from the mirror. I went to walk around a bit, and stumbled over my pant legs. They hung well below my feet now, and were getting dangerously close to being impossible to walk in.
"Maybe you should take those off." Lindsay said. "There's a robe in the bathroom that you can wear until the change is complete."
"Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll stick with these for a bit longer, I mean..." I let myself trail off when I went to shrug, and noticed that the neck hole of my shirt was now very close to drooping over my shoulder. I sighed. Damn it, I'm getting smaller faster than I thought.
"On second thought, maybe I should use that robe." I said, reminding myself that all of this was only going to be until I could get home and unwish it.
"Bathrooms right down that hall. First door on the left." Lindsay said.
I mumbled my thanks as I walked past her, adjusting with my pants so that I could walk in them.
I entered the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I glanced into the mirror and once again saw my changed face, and noted that my hair looked to be longer than it was a few minutes ago. "Me and my stupid wishes..."
