The first post on the blog that Jon had set up simply said:
If I had a stone that granted wishes I would wish that I could get my Gender Reassignment Surgery today instead of waiting until I was 18.
Jon wondered who would post something so private on a public blog but before he could find out who had made the post his room began to fade around him.
When the world returned to focus Jon realized he was in a different room; well not a room so much as a hallway. Jon was lying down on some sort of bed that he couldn't see and for some reason the hallway seemed to be moving. He felt like he'd been drugged; which he had. He was unable to move anything but his eyes which he was barely able to open.
He saw his Mom on one side of him, from the way she was walking along side the bed he guessed that she was probably holding his hand but he couldn't feel it.
At the foot of the bed was a woman dressed in scrubs pushing the bed down the hallway. There was a bag filled with some yellowish liquid hanging from a metal pole up near his head, and a small line running from the bag down toward his right arm.
They stopped in front of a door and the nurse said to Jon's mother "You'll have to wait out here Ma'am. I'll give you a second if you'd like."
"Thank you." Jon's mother said to the nurse who stepped away from the bed and out of Jon's line of sight. "Oh, Jon. Honey I'm so sorry that you weren't comfortable being a boy, but don't worry the Doctors here are the best. When you get out of surgery you'll be a girl like you've always wanted to be. I just hope this makes you happy. I love you so much." Then she bent forward and kissed his forehead.
The entire time Jon was doing his best to communicate with his mother, but due to the drugs running through his body he couldn't do or say anything to get her attention. His mother stepped back from the bed and the nurse reappeared and wheeled him through the swinging double doors into the operating suite.
Inside Jon was greeted by an older woman also wearing scrubs. "Hello Jon. You remember me right? Dr. Monroe. I'm going to give you a little shot now to help you sleep through this whole ordeal. When you wake up it should be all over and you'll have the body you've always wanted. Dr. Carmichael does wonderful work you'll be so beautiful nobody will ever know that you were born a boy.
Jon never felt the shot that Dr. Monroe gave him, but he knew she must have because soon even keeping his eyes open was too much of an effort, and he drifted slow off to a drug induced sleep.
