Jon peeked into his brother's room and his eyes widened. Mikey was sitting at his little table, pouring imaginary tea into the cup on his Raggedy Ann doll which was sitting next to him, and all around the table sat the rest of his dollies and stuffed animals. Jon looked around the room, gone were the video games and action figures. In there place was a display of porcelain unicorns. His old posters were gone, and the walls, which used to be painted light blue, were now light pink. Although he wasn't wearing a dress or anything, his jeans and shirt looked like they were most likely made for a girl.
Jon was about to ask Mikey a question, when their mother's voice came from downstairs. "Mikey! Your friend's here!"
"Oh, is Billy here?" Jon asked him. Billy was Mikey's best friend.
Mikey scowled. "Billy? No, ew, boys are gross!"
Emily, one of the girls in Mikey's class suddenly came up the stairs and into the room. "Hi, Mikey, do you wanna play house?"
"Sure," said Mikey, smiling, going to a chest full of play clothes in the corner. "But I get to be the wife this time!"
"Okay." smiled Emily, joining Mikey as they searched through the chest to find outfits to wear.
Jon smiled, wondering what to do next.
