"I see you've discovered one of my favorite books."
Jon turned around to find an attractive boy leaning against the shelf at the end of the aisle. He had jet-black hair and blue eyes. He was tall, a hair over six feet, slender yet muscular. His smile sent a small shiver down Jon's spine.
"Is it? I always found it a bit self-involved." Jon smiled.
The boy laughed. They talked of their favorite books, finding they shared many in common. Not surprising, thought Jon. Considering my actual sex.
"May I ask your name?"
"Jennifer," Jon said with only the hint of hesitation, holding out his hand.
"I'm Aron," he took her hand. "Good to meet you."
Jon's heart was beating rapidly. Considering his experience over the last few days, he could guess what Aron's intentions were. But was Jon ready for this?
Aron held onto her hand. "I love what you've done with yourself. How did you come about to this form?"
"Art class actually. Decided to try it out for a while."
"A freshman then?" Aron looked genuinely surprised. "I would not have guessed. You carry yourself much more confidently than your age."
Probably because I created this place, Jon laughed to himself. He smiled, "So what year would that make you?"
"A senior," he fake sighed. "Alas, this is my final year among so many beautiful creatures such as yourself."
Jon laughed, easing into his role. This was becoming fun. He realized he held the cards. It was his say-so whether this went any farther, no matter Aron's charms. Aron smirked in a way that told Jon he was used to having sex with whatever woman he wanted. As one of nine men on campus at any one time, he was the object of every woman's desire. But Jon wasn't one of those women, not yet anyway.
Jon began to twirl one of his tails in his fingers. He realized Aron was still holding onto his other hand. "I don't know how you handle it," Jon said.
"It is a burden, I admit. But I carry it willingly."
Jon giggled.
"Have you had a chance to tour the campus yet?"
"I just finished my own tour actually, but perhaps you know of something I missed?"
"Perhaps." Aron thought a moment. "I don't suppose you've toured the senior apartments yet?"
Jon smiled. This guy was good. "I have not, but I'd love to see them sometime."
"Why not now?"
"Not now. I have plans with my dorm soon." Jon watched Aron's disappointed face as he pulled his hand free. "But maybe you would like to walk me to my dorms?"
Aron was visibly confused. He wanted Jennifer, and didn't know what he had done to make her not want him in return. Most women on campus couldn't afford to be so choosy. But because he couldn't have her now, he wanted her all the more. He would wait for this one.
Aron agreed, and they walked back to the first year dorms, talking of this and that. When they arrived, Aron turned to face Jon, "My offer still stands."
"And I just might take you up on it sometime," Jon smiled. He stood on toes to kiss him on the cheek. "Thanks for the walk back."
Jon walked away, leaving Aron red and confused. When he made it to the door, he turned to see Aron still standing there, unsure of what to do. Jon waved and went inside.
