Jon walked towards the school, but then stopped when he saw his friend Pete Roberts. With Karyn gone, Pete was now Jon's most trusted friend.
"Hey, Pete," Jon said, approaching him.
"Oh, hi, Jon. What's up?"
"I need your help."
"With what?" Pete asked.
"With this," Jon said, grasping the stone in his clenched hand. "I wish that you would take this stone and wish that Karyn not only wants to be my friend again, but also is deeply in love with me and will do whatever I say." The stone glowed, granting his wish.
Then, like Pete had no control over himself, he grabbed the stone from Jon and said "I wish ..."
