Unfortunately, Jon had never specified that he would remember himself before the change. In fact, his wish hadn't at all included any kind of clause to prevent retroactive changes, either to his memory or reality!

Jon blinked, his head feeling fuzzy for a moment, before he looked down at the blocks and laughed. "Golly, not much sense in spelling something that won't change me. Hyuk!" Jon blushed a bit at his own laugh, glad Karyn never made fun of it, not like everyone else. He reached down, about to pick something to spell out with the blocks, when a foot lashed out, kicking the blocks, scattering them all over.

"Man, I knew my big brother was a real dork, but blocks?"

"Jeepers Mikey, stop that!" Jon frowned down at his little brother, his high and very nasally voice lacking the punch to fully express his anger. Mikey laughed cruelly and ran out, Jon blushing in embarrassment at the sound of his mother's voice carrying up the stairs, telling Mikey to stop always bullying his older brother. Jon hated how Mikey did that, and Gothic sister Zoe's teasing didn't help at all. His siblings were so gosh-darn mean!

Jon stewed, dweebish fantasies of payback running through his head, before he grinned, his new large overbite sticking out openly. He grabbed the blocks, giggling in his goofy laugh as he arranged them in a phrase of payback...

My brother Mikey and sister Zoe are both nerds

Jon blinked, looking down at the blocks, suddenly feeling bad and running his hand through his mousey brown, greasy hair in guilt. Now golly, why had he done that? No need to make fun of his brother and sister, just because he was teased so much. Especially since they were just like him!

Jon, started putting the blocks away, careful not to accidentally spell anything. He felt too guilty to use them. He went unaware of the changes occurring, to him and his siblings and their reality...
