After Jon got home after school, he was trying to think of a neat way to use the stone's power. He came up with the idea of becoming something by spelling out a word or words. But he needed a way to do it. He thought a bit and came up with an idea that could definitely work: alphabet blocks (those small wooden blocks with letters and pictures on them that kids play with).
Jon wished up a set of the alphabet blocks and then made a wish to make it so that when the blocks spelled out a word or phrase, the person who made the word or phrase would become whatever was spelled out.
After the stone glowed, granting his wish, he looked down at the blocks and smiled. "Now, to try this out," he said, reaching down to the pile of alphabet blocks sitting on his bedroom floor.
