Jon heard a shuffling noise to his left and heard a small voice say,
"Hello? Where am I? What's going on?"
He crossed the room, opened the door, and Danielle stumbled out in heels and her little floral print dress.
Jon Gibson? What happened? Why am I here?
Jon decided to play dumb for now.
"I have no clue. Danielle, right?"
"Yeah, what's going on? Is this your room?" said Danielle.
"Yeah it is. How did you get here?"
"I don't know," she said, looking panicked, "My friend Sara was just taking my picture, she counted to three, and then I was in...your closet."
Interesting, thought Jon, it seems that they appear in my room as they were at the instant that the photo was taken. I guess that makes sense.
Danielle spoke up, "Listen, Jon, I need to get out of here. This is too weird."
Jon had to think fast. If Danielle left and went home, she'd find the current version of herself there. Who knows what she would do.
"I wish that the stone would take the form of a ring on my right hand that only I can wear and only I can take off. Furthermore, I wish that I can make nonverbal wishes while the ring is on my finger, but that this will not result in unintentional wishes or unintentional results."
"Jon, what are you talking ab--" she started, but Jon willed her to forget what he had said. He then willed away her desire to leave, leaving only her confusion remaining.
She sat down on his bed. "So how did I get here?"
"Maybe something happened with the camera," Jon suggested. "I'll look it up online."
He walked over to his computer as Danielle's eyes explored the room.
