Annita's eyes fluttered open.
While it hadn't been her intention to fall asleep while knitting, the church lady had managed to lose track of time and her eyes lost that fight.
"Oh my." she thought, carefully pulling herself out of the chair. Heading for the stairs, she took each step slowly and carefully. Once at the top, Annita headed for her room. Pulling the door open, her gaze fell upon the desk. Between her bible and all the other boyish junk that no longer reflected her new lifestyle, a set of hearing aids sat within it all. Picking them up, it's a bit of a trick just slipping them in. Once in, everything sounded louder - almost echoing about in her ears. After a couple of seconds, it died down. "I'll have to thank my daughter later."
Turning away from the desk, Annita's gaze locked onto the closet. While Delia had been fine raiding hers for whatever retro clothing she could find, they had reached a point where something definitely had to change. But there was no way that her own daughter would let her continue to do that forever. Though she had gone shopping yesterday. Maybe for whatever reason, had gotten a bunch of new clothes for her.
Pulling the closet door open, Annita was greeted with a variety of retro clothing fit for an elderly woman like her. A mix of housecoats and long dresses, all in the right style. She was in absolute heaven. Stripping out of yesterday clothes, she slipped into a modest orange dress decorated with flowers. Finding an orange pair of heels right below the dress.
"Perfect." she thought.
