Now that school was out for the day, John's mind was filled with a plethora of ideas of what to do with the stone.
~I could wish for fame, fortune, power. I could be ANYBODY I want. I don't even know where to start...~ John thought to himself.
As he approached his house, John noticed that Karyn was already waiting for him on the front step of his house.
"About time you got here! It NEVER takes you this long to get home." Karyn said.
"Huh? Oh sorry, I've just been kinda daydreaming on my way home..." John replied still seeming a bit lost in his thoughts.
"Whatever, it's all good. Listen I was hoping that we could have a bit of fun with the stone tonight..." Karyn said with a big grin.
"Hmm?" John said still thinking of the possibilities.
"JOHN!" Karyn said clapping he hands. This seemed to snap him out of his stupor.
"HUH? Oh sorry." John replied seeming a bit startled.
"You weren't even listening were you?" Karyn said as she placed her hands on her hips in frustration.
"No... sorry. Listen, why don't we talk about it more inside. Maybe we could even have a bit of fun with it tonight." John said walking up the steps of his house.

John pulled a key out of his pocket and opened the door to his house. Both of John's parents worked late every day. They brought in a fairly good amount of money, combined they were a six-figure income family. Even though John had every amenity that he could hope for, it was a bit troubling never having his parent home for more then a few hours at night before everybody went to bed for the night. By the time he woke up his parents would be gone and he and his older sister Zoe would have to get themselves ready for the day.
"ZOE?!" John called into the 3-story house. No reply.
"She must be out with her boyfriend or her friend..." John said absentmindedly.
"Well I suppose that just gives us more privacy." Karyn noted.
"Suppose so..." John said unlacing his Chuck Taylors and placing them on the shoe mat next to the door. Karyn mimicked John and took off her sneakers.
John stood still for a second looking awkwardly at Karyn.
"What?" Karyn said.
"...firstonetomyroomgetsthefirstwishgo!" John blurted out as he turned and sprinted for his room.
Karyn laughed a bit as she ran close behind him. They both got to the staircase at nearly the same time evening the playing field. The 2 kids sprinted up the stairs and hit the 2nd floor at a sprint. John was the first up by about a step and he sprinted forward a few feet, deciding to push himself off the wall instead of stopping and turning to head down the hall. Karyn did the same and the two were neck and neck as they sped down the hall. Johns door stood open about 20 yards away. The 2 competitors sped for the finish line still unsure of who would win. As they final yard was cleared the winner was...
