Suddenly, Zoe spotted something strange. A quick shadow, then several more, darted behind the bride. Someone gave the bride's father a push, sending him staggering into the aisle. At the same time, two muscular arms wrapped around the shocked Jen's waist and whisked her out of sight.
Two of the figures leaned through the doorway, giving everyone a split-second glimpse of the intruders. They looked something like ninjas, or stereotypical cat-burglars, dressed head-to-toe in black including the masks hiding their faces. Without hesitation, they grabbed the double doors and slammed them shut.
All this happened in mere moments, leaving all the witnesses still in denial of what they had just seen. Then, all chaos erupted.
