She found her sister sitting in front of the mirror, brushing out her hair as if nothing had occurred. Cheerfully, she greeted Jessica. "Hi, sis. Sorry about earlier. I don't know what came over me."

"Martin told me you've decided to go ahead with the wedding after all."

"Yes. I realized how silly it was to cancel the whole thing just because of some dream."

"So it really was a dream? You looked pretty convinced it was real."

"Sure, I was spooked. But after talking to my darling Martin, I remembered our time together and our love for each other. I knew that was so much more real than some delusion that only manifested itself a few hours ago."

Jessica hesitated. It all felt so sudden. Her sister had gone from absolutely traumatized to completely calm in a matter of minutes. It was just unnatural.

Seeing the doubt in her face, Jen giggled. "Jess, I'm fine. Tell me this. Last night, was I looking forward to the wedding?"

"Yes. You were so ecstatic, you couldn't sleep."

"And haven't I been in a great relationship with Martin for over a year leading up to this moment?"

"Yeah. You two were just perfect together. It was almost creepy how much you guys just clicked, but I can't deny you were happy."

Jen leaned back in her chair, hairbrush dangling from her hand. "There, you see? That's the reality. No dream, no matter how compelling, is going to change that for me. Relax, sis. I need you to be happy for me, especially as my maid of honor. Can you do that for today of all days?"

Jessica gave in. She bent down and hugged Jen tightly. "Alright. You've convinced me. And I'm very happy for you."

"Thank so much, Jess," the younger sister murmured. Wiping a brief tear from her eye, she sat up straight. "Now, let's get me ready for the wedding. I've wasted enough time as it is. Where's Zoe? Text her and tell her to get back here. She needs to help with my makeup. Oh, Jess. I'm getting married!"

Out in the hall, Martin grinned before heading back to the chapel.
