Gaping at the mirror, Jon ran his hands over his new curves and clutched at his long tresses. "No," he gasped, wincing at his higher voice. "This isn't right! I need to fix this!"
Coming up behind him, Jessica grabbed his arm and yanked him over to a chair. "Now don't start fussing over your hair, Jen. That's our job. Once we're finished, you'll look amazing."
Jon tried to resist, but his sister seemed stronger than before. "Wait, that's not what I-"
"C'mon, sis," Zoe sighed. She helped hold the reluctant bride down while Jessica started in on her hair. "Mom and Dad are already getting things ready at the church, and everyone's gonna be waiting for us soon. Just sit still so we can get this over with. This stupid dress is killing me."
In desperation, Jon yanked his head away from his sister's hands and looked over at the bed. He figured that he must have dropped the stone in his sleep. If he could find it again, he could straighten out this whole mess caused by his thoughtless wish.
"Hey!" Jessica yelped as Jon shoved her back and leaped for the bed.
He tore through the bedclothes, tossing pillows and sheets in all directions. The rock, however, failed to show itself. "Where is it!? It was right here!"
"What are you talking about, Jen?"
Ignoring her question, Jon kept searching as his panic level rose. "I need to stop this! This isn't what I meant to happen! I can reverse this! I have to!"
