Everyone will think its me what can I do she thought as she entered the room. It was then she found an answer. " The stone " she said to anyone who was in earshot.
Karyn picked up the stone and began her wish " I wish that Jon wouldn't act any different from how I would normally act towards everyone at school today". With her wish finished she put the stone back in her temporary bag and left the room to start towards the high school.
Meanwhile across town Jon was just leaving "his" house for school. Its going to be one weird day today, he thought to himself. I hope Karyn doesn't do anything to embarrass me today but even as he was thinking that thought he knew that something would go wrong it always did, after all that was how he had got in to this mess in the first place.
Karyn was not too surprised to find herself sitting in more or less the same spot that Jon had been only two days ago when he had first shown her the stone. She sat there thinking should she give it back to Jon today or should she tell him that she had left it at home. Strange that she was beginning to think of Jon's house as home. She knew it would where she would be living for the next week but her home was were Jon was living at the moment wasn't it.
She hoped her wishes last night had changed things too much.
She look up from her feet to see Jon approaching her. He was wearing her usual get-up of scruffy old slacks and her favorite worn old green jumper and somehow they seemed to fit him just right. That was something else she hadn't thought of last night how come they now fit in to each other clothes with no trouble what so ever.
"Hey, Jon-boy! How's it going? " Jon greeting her in the same way she greeted him every morning. Karyn grinned sheepishly. " You?" she asked. He shrugged, "You know, same-old, same-old." Then the two of them burst into laughter. "Nice outfit Karyn. What made you pick it?" She asked him. "I Don't know it just seemed right." Jon answered.
Karyn looked at her watch and said "We had better get going. You ready for this?" "I think so was Jons' reply as the two mismatched friends turned and headed towards the school and the day ahead.
