Jon put the strange makeup kit with its ersatz tag in the bathroom, but he could not stop thinking about it. Where was it from? Why did he want to try it out so much? Who was Jonatha, anyway?
With all the present-opening festivities wrapped up and the others absorbed in their gifts, Jon made time to take out the kit and open it up. There was a lot there, and it all looked like it was good stuff, though he didn't have an eye for makeup.
He decided to do his face, fumbling and trying to recall what he'd seen in the movies and seen his sister Zoe do from time to time. Half an hour later, his face was adorned with mascara, eyeshadow, foundation, blush, and lipstick. He was surprised it looked this good.
Without drawing much attention, he returned downstairs, where preparations were already underway for the Christmas meal. But he couldn't help but stare at everyone else. Their faces...their makeup... Why was it all a mess? They all needed redos. His first target was Mikey. Gosh, imagine how much cuter he could be if he just learned to do his face from time to time.
Zoe managed to not attract Jon's attention, but before long, Mikey and Roger had joined Jon in having their faces done up. They, too, wondered why they'd never thought of doing this before. It seemed so easy...
But it all came to a halt. He had just removed all of Mom's existing makeup when his little sister tackled him from behind!
