"I'm Karyn," she finally said. She paused, then asked "Are you sure you don't remember anything?"
"I remember that my name is Rebecca and ..." he said.
"You're name is Jon," Karyn interrupted.
"Jon? That's a boy's name."
"That's because you're a boy," Karyn said.
Jon/Rebecca collapsed to the ground and started to cry. "Why is this happening to me?"
Karyn was about to tell him about the magic hat, but then hesitated. Was it a good idea to tell him about it? He wasn't really Jon anymore. She had no idea how this Rebecca woman would take it.
