When school was over, the girly girl Jon walked out with Karyn. They were discussing the magic hat and what it had done to them.
"It's weird," Jon said. "But when I started the day as four female versions of myself, it's like we all had a shared consciousness. But now ... ever since we separated into different cliques, I'm not part of them anymore. It's like we're separate people."
They walked past the football field and watched the cheerleaders practice, and that included the cheerleader Jon, who seemed just as experienced as the rest of the girls.
And from behind the bleachers, they spotted the slutty Jon pulling a boy with her, probably on their way to have sex. The Jon that was with Karyn was actually glad that she didn't have to watch that take place. But she kind of missed the shared consciousness of the others. It was almost like losing an eye or a hand.
"So what now?" Karyn asked.
