"Jon?" Karyn asked, walking into the bedroom.
Jon immediately shut his underwear drawer and turned towards her. "Karyn, don't sneak up on me like that."
"Sorry. I just came by to see if you wanted to do something with me tonight. But I know you probably already have plans with the girls."
"Girls? What girls?"
Karyn looked oddly at him. "Your friends? You know, Amy and Crissy? You made plans with them to go shopping, right?"
Jon suddenly realized. Karyn was considered a tomboy because she hung out with boys and dressed in a more boy-like manner. Now since Jon was a tomgirl, he dressed in a more girl-like manner and hung out with girls. More than likely, his guy friends (Tim and Pete) weren't friends with him anymore, although they might still be friends with Karyn.
